The Posture Care Chair Company is a proud South Australian family business with a strong history of providing customers with their most comfortable and tailor-made recliner chairs. For over 40 years we have designed, manufactured and delivered seating solutions to the people of Adelaide.
Since 1978, our chairs have enhanced the lives of thousands of South Australians with our unique designs providing genuine relief to all individuals even those who are living with a range of medical conditions, enabling them to relax in comfort.
Our History
1978
As an 18-year-old, working under the guidance of his father, founder Bill Kachirski first recognised the importance of adjustable chairs that meet the individual’s specific body measurements. Bill began communicating the benefits of tailor-made chairs to his customers, and upgraded every upholstery job to fit their requirements. This was the birth of the Posture Care Chair Company.
1995
In 1995, the Posture Care Chair Company sold its first several thousand recliners! Our invention of the electric lift recliner chair was successful, and the family business was growing rapidly. We developed a reputation for being the providers of high-quality reclining chairs and service. At the Posture Care Chair Company, we remained true to our commitment to quality, comfort guarantees, and continuous innovation and design.
2000
In 2000, the family business was becoming increasingly reputable and in high demand. Our showroom and factory moved to Norwood, allowing us to be centrally available to the whole of metropolitan South Australia. Now we supply chairs to individuals, hospitals, aged care facilities and medical clinics.
2017
Today, the family owned and operated business remains at the forefront of the industry, expanding into creating chairs that improve the lifestyle and wellbeing of anyone, whether it be for comfort or living with health issues and disabilities. Comfort will always be our end goal.
